Why do people classify YMCA (by Village People) as a gay song?
So if men have fun and enjoy things together we should call them gay? I mean, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun is not listed as a lesbian song, and it’s all about girls having fun together (event the video clip shows that), but that isn’t classified lesbian. If this is a gay song, then the Cyndi Lauper song is a lesbian song. You see what I mean?
That isn’t fair. Btw, I have nothing against gay people, but I don’t see YMCA as a gay song.
Btw, just ONE of the Village People singer is gay.
the song is not gay,,, i’m tired of people referring to things as “gay”. it’s very insulting…
the song is by a group that identified themselves with the gay community… that’s all
