Which current player would you give the best chance to of knocking off Tendulkar’s runs aggregate record?
If you need inspiration:

I would say Kumar Sangakkara has a very good chance considering he has played only half the tests Tendulkar has and he has scored roughly half the runs. If he plays for as long as Sachin, then the runs are his.
In the same respect, Mahela Jayawardene can also break the record. He has played 61 less tests and scored 3000 less runs.
Who do you think?
It depends when Tendulkar decides to call it a day. Ponting is the only one with a real shot in my eyes. Ponting is 1.5 years younger than Tendulkar and only 1200 or so runs behind Tendulkar. Since he averages over 800 runs per season then if Tendulkar retires and Ponting plays an extra year and a half then he should get the record. But with Tendulkar saying he’s aiming for 15000 test runs I don’t think he’ll be retiring anytime soon. Sangakkara is almost 33 and over 5000 runs behind Tendulkar. I don’t see him playing long enough to make up the difference. Unless he takes a leaf out of Jayasuriya’s book and play until he’s over 40.
