Hair Stylist Employment
Help me remember a movie with this scene, please?
There’s this movie of which I have a hazy memory of though I clearly remember the plot. I think there’s this straight but jobless guy who pretended to be gay just to find work/employment (I think he worked as an editor of fashion mag, or hair stylist, or tv/radio personality for which he was supposed to be gay, meaning…if you’re not gay, then you shouldn’t be in such a job). Because he was good at what he did, he was nominated and won some kind of award…and in his speech, he admitted that he was straight and that got the audience angry because it was supposed to be a gay/lesbian crowd. However, in his speech, he confided that it was indeed difficult to be marginalized and discriminated because of ones gender preference and all that, he won the crowd’s approval and got a standing ovation for it.I forgot the movie’s title.
definitely not in and out. maybe three to tango? mathew perry is an architect who’s business partner is gay. but through a wacky mix up, everyone thinks mathew is the gay one, and he falls in love with their boss’s girlfriend.
