If SB1070 includes new provisions to Arizona law and new to American criminal and immigration law?

How does the new law mirror what is already there? Supporter of AZ SB1070 keep repeating “it mirrors Federal Law, so there is no controversy”. Are supporters of this bill confused?

1. This statute includes provisions that are not only new to Arizona law, but that are new to American criminal and immigration law. The statute is complex and raises many difficult issues both of interpretation and constitutionality. It may involve more provisions of the U.S. and Arizona Constitutions than any single piece of legislation ever drafted in this state. Accordingly, its scope and effect are not clear, and will not be clear until there are definitive judicial rulings.

you haven’t stumped anyone. The first time Az tried to enforce a federal law the feds came in and said only they could do it. So this bill was drafted with slight changes to insure that they deported correctly. Everything that they say is so controversial is in fact the same rights cops are afforded in matters with American citizens so we don’t take them into account as new laws lol they are only new to immigration and yes its a new law to AZ only because they are enforcing a preexisting federal law lol. Your double talk isn’t smart or well informed yet i doubt most of your supporters will agree with me. In fact its nothing new to Federal laws which you are excluding only state laws lol.
