Where Earthquakes Occur in the US Lab?

Hey, I have a lab due this Friday and I’ve missed a day from school, so I’m gonna need some help. and from #11-15, could you just please list a source. Thanks, and there’s a bonus question (list a source for that too)!

5. Why don’t Minnesota, Iowa, or North Dakota have any earthquakes?
8. Why are there so many earthquakes in Washington state?
9. Why are there so many earthquakes in Hawaii?
10. Why are there so many earthquakes in Alaska?
11. Why does New England (esp. MA, CT, and VT) get so many faults but no EQ’s?
12. Why does SC have so many faults and EQ’s?
13. Why does nevada have so many faults and EQ’s?
14. Why does Utah have so many faults and EQ’s?
15. Why are there so many faults and earthquakes in the region around New Madrid, Missouri?

Bonus: Why did the New Madrid earthquake ring church bells in Boston over 1000 miles away, when an equally strong earthquake in CA might only be felt 200 miles away? Hint: Think of the geologic history of New England.

Thanks!

You can contact Call- tec university in Pasedina to get the help from their lab.Dear friend,Many people mistake the strength of earthquake. The effect of earthquake differs upon different factor. The affecting distance may vary according the geographical condition. It does not depend upon only Richter scale. The amplification is the cause for the church bell rang. The shaking will be more at height building.Like that the church bell fixed at a tower will ring.Usually the epicenter may be somewhere else and the affecting place may differ according the geological condition.
