Free Windows Xp Icons Downloads

URGENT!! MY DESKTOP ICONS ARE ALL THE SAME!?

the “question” is in caps because i need to attract attention! please help, im on Windows 7, and this is what happened
I have Burnout Paradise (WHAT A GAME!) and i moved the entire program files folder from C drive to E, to free up space!!! and then being on windows 7 i abused the search bar in the start menu to run burnout, only it said it didnt know what program to associate the file with. So i did the right click, properties and associated it with EA download manager, simple stuff really so when i click the icon it launches EA download manager (dont ask me why because it made sense at the time) and then when i clicked OK on the properties box WHOOOSH! all my icons that ever lived all transformed into EA download manager icons. now this is annoying and the fixes online are only for windows XP that i can find. so does anyone have a windows 7 fix?

Ok, so you can’t move the Program Files folder since everything has links and assumes your software and applications are in a particular place. If you move it then you break the links and the operating system (OS) won’t know where your software is.

You must move it back to its original location. Its not a problem with Win7. All OS work the same way. If you are running out of space then you need to do something else to clean it up.

THe longer more tedious way of fixing this is to reinstall the applications, but during the process, change the default location to the E: drive. You will still end up with some problems since Windows does install some default software in the C:Program Files folder.

I’d suggest putting everything back and if you are running out of space then reinstall your games on the other drive since they usually consume the most space (especially all the saved games).

Hope this helps.
