Switching to Non Hormonal birth Control!?
I’ve been on the shot for about 1 1/2 years(5 shots) and i’m feed up w/it(all hormones period!) in less than a year i went from 140lbs to 185lbs i lost ALL of my sex Drive which obviously my husband hates im Depressed all the time, im sometimes feel very Qeezy and now im hearing on forums that some women are suffering from worst symptoms afterwards like Hair Loss,Cysts,Thyroid Conditions and even Cancer. So im going to planned parenthood next week for some help w/ switching and wanted to know if any1 has used “Family Planning” mixed w/Diaphrams(w/spermicide) and Condoms and if thats possible to use all at once because i have a beautiful 1yr.old daughter but i dont want ANYMORE and im 18 so getting tubes tied is out of the question and my husband will Never get a Vascectamy, so if you have any suggestions or experiences PLEASE!… HELP!!
I suggest the copper IUD. It is a non hormonal birth control method. It is small, plastic, T shaped and is inserted into the uterus. It usually lasts 2 years or more and is fairly inexpensive (mine only cost $90). It is also effective immediately after insertion. The only disadvantages that I find is that my menstrual flow is a bit heavier and I get mild cramps about every other period (I never had any cramps before I got the IUD). The only other major side effect is the small chance of having a egg getting fertilized in the fallopian tube. But this is a very very very uncommon side-effect. Good luck!
