How do I get my hair flicked at the ends?

my hair is thin and really long so i’ve decided to get it cut a bit shorter, like this in the picture :

do i have to have it cut in that way and if I give the hairdresser the picture will she be able to get that effect at the ends? or do i need a styling product? i like the way it is flicked in – sorry i don’t know what the hairstyle is called

also my hair is naturally blonde but i want it that colour, this may sound stupid but how can i get it that colour without dying it? because i use john frieda go blonder shampoo but it only lightens a bit , are there any other shampoos out there?

by the way my hair is naturally ultra straight – its really limp!

If you have a curling iron (about 1 in. around) just run it down your hair until you get the ends and curl it under gel will help hold the curl so run a little through your hair before hand. If you have a straightener then that works too put in the gel and run the straightener down your hair and slowly curl it at the ends! Hope this helps!
