I need help on becoming an actress, with no experience. Any pointers?
Okay, um, I want to be an actress so very bad. Right now I’m in show choir and it’s so much fun. I really enjoy being in the limelight, and having an audience to watch me. People say that I sing extremely well, but that’s not what I want to do. Does anyone have any ideas on how I could contact an agent? I live in Oklahoma where there is practically nothing here to help me. Carrie Underwood did it, so why can’t I? Kudos to whoever is so amazing that they took the time to read/answer this question. Ta Ta my freaky darlings.
the best thing you can do is start looking for open auditions in your area. everyone starts in the background to start off with, so dont be dissappointed if you dont get the leading role right away. as a singer you need to look up recording studio’s in your area and start planning on recording your demo CD. try and aim for it to have at least 4 songs that are contrasting(ballads and comtemporary) to show how versitile you are. once that’s sorted you need to look for agents to send it to, along with headshots. you can find names of agents by looking them up online if there is a star you like look up the name and details of their agent and sometimes there are books with agents names and details in it. good luck xx
