Forced Bank of America to acquire Merrill Lynch.
Forced Banks to take TARP money to hide which ones were in trouble.
Had his cronies in the Justice Department write memos granting legal approval to ignore constitutional rights, including First Amendment freedoms of speech and the press and Fourth Amendment requirements for search warrants.
Granted amnesty to certain illegal immigrants. ( oops that was Ronald Reagan)
People act as if Bush got hammered by the media for everything he did, which was not the case. They may have hit him for some more trivial things and some of his flubs, but on the real serious stuff like the Iraq war and the things you mentioned, he was mostly given a pass.
