Bank Of America Ohio

How to cash insurance settlement check? HELP!?

Okay, I was in an accident, recieved an insuarance settlement check for 4,000 and some change.

I am a minor, 17 years old. So the check is written to myself, my mom and dad.

My parents have been divorced for 15 years.

My bank, bank of america, and the check is written by bank of america also said they need to see all three people sign the check at a bank or have them on my account.

Well they don’t have any banks in ohio by bank of america. and to get them on my account it would take two weeks.

For a check cashing place they want all three people there to sign the check.

But my dad lives three hours away. And other banks want to see them sign it or be present.

I got my dad and mom to sign it already.

What are my options because right now it seems that I cannot cash the check.

And the insurance comp said it must have my parents name and my name on it according to state law.

My mom doesnt have a bank here and my dad will take the money.

HELP!

~~Your mom and dad can each sign the check at their banks, and at the same time have the signature guaranteed by a bank official. Then they can send the check back to you and you will have the guarantee stamps on their signatures, and take it to BofA, sign in front of the teller and she will then be able to cash the check for you.

Since your parents already signed, they can still take it to their banks, and have the signature guaranteed. It will take more time, but it is the easiest way with all the distance between you.~~
