Has anyone got a mortgage modification with Bank of America yet?
I have “qualified” for the financial hardship program with Bank of America… I’ve called numerous times in the past and they have told me 30 days, 45 days, and now its 45 “business days.” They still do not have an answer for me. I got some Notice of Intent to Accelerate bull sh*t in the mail so i call to find out what it is, and no one answers now! It just hangs up on me or tell me to call back during their business hours… which they should be open right now! Does anyone know if its basically a joke and they are not in fact helping anyone with their morgage payments? Also what is a Notice of Intent to Accelerate ?
Thanks so much.

they take 8-12 months to do a modification, all they do is give homeowners a run around, especially when you try and do it on your own. An intent to accelerate is a letter saying they going to begin the foreclosure process. Depending on what state you are in, it could be 1-20 months before you get a sale date. I would definitly suggest retaining an attorney specializing in modifications. You can email me with any other questions about it. That is the smartest thing to do if you want to save your home (hire a law firm), especially with BOA..they are the WORST bank. 75% of my clients are with them.
