Bank of America Credit Card Scam ?
Hello, I get a notice every now and than through email that I have a credit card bill with Bank of America. It shows me how much I owe and what my minimum payment is. I believe this is a scam but how do I know that someone didn’t steal my identity and open an account in my name ? I do not click on the email for obvious reasons.
First off banks do not contact you by e-mail like that. 2nd look at the e-mail address it came from, and note that it’s some weird address. Then check out the link that want you to click on and it is also some strange none bank web site.
If you feel you need to follow up, then call the bank and talk to them
