How little can you take a baby in the pool (like the YMCA) with Chlorine ?? (for Swimming lessons?)
I am a YMCA swim instructor, and I teach several parent/child classes each week. The youngest child that I have ever had in one of my classes was 8 weeks old, and he loved being in the water. The parents just made sure to bathe the baby carefully afterwards with a baby soap, and he wasn’t irritated by the chlorine at all. Ask your local YMCA what the youngest age that they allow for the parent/child classes is, as this changes with each YMCA. Also, these classes are only 30 minutes long. You may prefer an evening class rather than a morning one, because the water generally gets warmer as the day goes on. Good Luck, and keep swimming!!!
